Financing Your Studies

First Years

For the 2011-12 student in-take the only source of financial support is the 16-19 Bursary Fund. This is different from previous years, and follows the revised arrangements that have been introduced by the government. Financial support will be based on household income, and application forms will be available at enrolment. Completed application forms should be returned to the college. Applications will be considered where the gross household income is less than £20,817. Financial awards will be made on a half termly basis – and are likely to be in the region of £30-£40 per half term. The actual sums awarded will depend on the nature and the number of eligible claims that are received. Requests for financial support may be made to help with transport, learning materials, and costs of lunch.
