What does the Parent Portal provide?
Shrewsbury Sixth Form College's Parent Portal is an internet based information and communication tool that gives parents secure access to their son/daughter’s data directly from the college Management Information Systems. Parents can access their son/daughter’s attendance record, can check on progress and view their timetable. In addition, parents can see examination entries and results.
Important Information
Only you, as a parent, your son/daughter and authorised College staff can access this data.
The data, and that of all students who attend Shrewsbury Sixth Form College, is managed by the college and is held securely on computers at the college site. We take the security of this data very seriously and all sensible measures have been taken to safeguard this information.
Access
Access to the portal is now available to parents and guardians of all students. If you are a parent of a Year 1 student, you will have received a "Login Letter" for this portal through the post at your son/daughter’s home address. This letter contains everything you need to register and login to the Portal.
If you have not received the "Login Letter" please contact adminteam@ssfc.ac.uk to request a duplicate to be sent out, please put portal in the title of the e-mail. Alternatively call 01743 235491.
Not resident at the student’s home address?
If you are not resident at the student’s home address but are entitled to access the portal then you can download an application form here.
To enable us to issue you with your match code please complete the application form stating what your parental responsibility is. Please bear in mind that only people with the relationship of mother, father, guardian, foster parent or carer to the student are entitled to an account for that student’s data. If appropriate, you will receive a key code by external post. If you have parental responsibility for more than one child at the college you must complete an application form per child.
Problems
Should you experience any difficulties in using the parent portal, please contact the college by e-mail to webmaster@ssfc.ac.uk putting portal in the title. Please provide your name, e-mail address, your son or daughter’s name, the key code provided and a summary of the issue and a member of the IT team will work to find a solution as swiftly as possible.
